Step Up 2 the Streets
Step Up 2 the Streets is is the sequel to Step Up. I didn’t like the first movie much because I didn’t think it had enough dancing. I didn’t have any intention of watching the sequel. However, I am a huge fan of the television show So You Think You Can Dance and on one of the episodes they talked about the third movie which would be Step Up in 3D. That piqued my interest so I decided to watch Step Up 2 the Streets in case the 3D movie is a continuation of this one. I am so happy I decided to watch this movie. Where the first movie lacked dancing, this movie was full of it and, even better, it was street dancing. The story was different than the first and fortunately this movie didn’t focus on the romance but on the dancing. If you watch So You Think You Can Dance and like it when the street dancers perform then this movie is definitely for you.
About 24% of critics on RottenTomatoes recommended Step Up 2 the Streets and I would give it a score of 8 for those who enjoy watching street dancers perform. If you don’t like this kind of dancing then this movie is probably not for you.
