Kung Fu Panda

Kung Fu Panda Is a Dreamworks animated film based on Po, a panda in ancient China, who works as a waiter and who is a kung fu fanatic.  It turns out that he is the chosen one to save the village which is kind of ironic considering he is probably the most out of shape and laziest animal around.  As the chosen one, his master has to find a way to teach him the martial arts.  As in all animated films, there is a villain and he is bent on the destruction of Po’s village. He wants the Dragon Scroll, which he believes contains magical powers.  Po has the scroll and the battle between the two ensues.  The plot is quite predictable and does not have much for an adult to work with, however, the kids will probably love it.  The animation is stunning and the characters are interesting.  The movie does have many funny moments which make it quite entertaining.

About 88% of critics on RottenTomatoes recommended Kung Fu Panda and I would give it a score of 8.5 for kids, maybe a little less for adults.
