Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who!
Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! is the screen adaptation of the children’s book of the same name. I have never read the book or any other Dr. Seuss books so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was an interesting enough story and they somehow managed to have enough of a story for an entire movie. The story is very simple as I guess you would expect from a children’s book. The animation was quite good and the characters were engaging. Jim Carrey is quite good as Horton and Carol Burnett is a very interesting as the kangaroo which is the villain in the story. This movie would probably be more appreciated by a very young audience than an adult one.
About 78% of critics on RottenTomatoes recommended Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! and I would give it a score of 8 for young kids and maybe a 6.5 for adults.

Never read a Dr. Seuss book? Oh my! Just kidding. I don’t think I really sat down to read them until I started giving them to my nieces and nephews as gifts.
