I didn’t know anything about Nim’s Island other than it was based on a children’s book of the same name and that Jodie Foster and Gerard Butler were in it. It started out a little slow but it got interesting once Jodie Foster appeared. It was the first time I have seen Jodie Foster in a non-serious role in a movie, if you don’t count Anna and the King. Her quirky behavior made her really funny in this movie. I think she is the main reason I enjoyed this movie. Some parts of the movie seemed unrealistic but the movie was light and fun and highly entertaining.
About 49% of critics on RottenTomatoes recommended Nim’s Island and I would give it a score of 7.5.
